Residential Conversion, Basement Development & Rear Extension

P+P Architects provided full architectural and technical services for the redevelopment of 32 Ambleside Avenue in South London, transforming the existing property into six self-contained residential flats.

The project involved a comprehensive range of building works, including the excavation of a new basement with front and rear light wells, a single-storey rear extension, new rooflights and replacement windows. The scheme also included a new boundary wall and landscaping works, improving both the appearance and functionality of the property.

The new basement accommodation benefits from improved natural light and ventilation through the front and rear light wells, while the rear extension provides additional living space and creates more practical layouts for the new flats. The combination of internal conversion and carefully designed extensions allowed the existing property to be efficiently adapted to provide six modern homes.

Construction & Technical Design

P+P Architects were involved throughout the construction stage, preparing the full detailed construction package and technical drawings required for the project. We worked closely with the contractor and project team to coordinate the architectural information and resolve technical and design matters during construction.

Our involvement continued from the preparation of the construction information through to the final stages of the project, completion and handover. This provided continuity throughout the construction process and helped ensure that the completed works reflected the approved design and technical requirements.

Completed Residential Development

The completed project provides six self-contained flats in London SW16, with improved residential accommodation, additional basement space, enhanced natural light and upgraded external areas.
